Dustin Archebelle newly appointed Head Girls Basketball Coach at Wilkinson County High School

Wilkinson County Schools is proud to announce Coach Dustin Archebelle as the new Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Wilkinson County High School.

For Coach Archebelle, this opportunity is not about starting over—it’s about continuing a journey that has already been years in the making.

Over the past six years, Coach Archebelle has served students across Wilkinson County Schools, working at both the primary and high school levels. During that time, he has built strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues while remaining deeply involved in athletics. His experience includes four seasons as assistant head coach for the boys basketball program, where he contributed to the team’s success, including the 2023 state championship season.

Over the past two years, he has stepped into a head coaching role, continuing to build on that foundation while emphasizing player development, accountability, and maintaining a high standard both on and off the court.

Now, as he transitions into leading the Lady Warriors program, Coach Archebelle embraces both the responsibility and the opportunity that comes with it.

“What excites me most is the opportunity to embrace a new challenge and continue growing as a coach. I’m looking forward to building strong relationships with our Lady Warriors and helping them become the best version of themselves, both individually and as a team.”

At the center of his leadership is a clear vision for culture. Coach Archebelle is building the program around the values of F.A.I.T.H.—Family, Attitude, Invest, Toughness, and Humility—a framework that reflects both his coaching philosophy and his expectations for student-athletes.

These values emphasize supporting one another as a team, maintaining discipline and positivity, committing fully to the process, competing with resilience, and carrying oneself with humility. Through this approach, his goal is to develop young women who are successful not only on the court, but who also represent what it means to be Warriors in every aspect of life.

Coach Archebelle’s passion for education and coaching is rooted in his desire to make a lasting impact on young people. He believes strongly in investing in students, holding them accountable, and helping them recognize their potential—even when they may not yet see it in themselves.

“I find the most fulfillment in watching students grow in confidence, overcome challenges, and accomplish goals they once thought were out of reach.”

As he steps into this role, Coach Archebelle reflects on the people who helped shape his journey.

“I want to thank every player who has ever played for me. You have all played a part in shaping me into the coach I am today. I’m also grateful for the coaches I’ve worked alongside who have supported me throughout this journey.”

He also shared a special appreciation for mentor Coach James Lunsford.

“Thank you for seeing something in me early on that I didn’t see in myself at the time. Your belief and guidance have made a difference in my life and career.”

Coach Archebelle describes himself as hardworking, passionate, and resilient—qualities that continue to shape how he leads and connects with students.

Wilkinson County Schools looks forward to the continued leadership and commitment he brings as he leads the Lady Warriors basketball program.
