At last night’s monthly board meeting, Superintendent Dr. Angela James proudly recognized several students whose recent accomplishments reflect the talent, dedication, and promise found across Wilkinson County Schools.
Among those recognized was Ke’Shawn Hall, the 2026 STAR Student from Wilkinson County High School. The STAR Student honor is awarded to the senior with the highest SAT score at the school who also ranks among the top of the graduating class. As part of this recognition, the STAR Student is invited to select a teacher who has made a meaningful impact on their academic journey. Ke’Shawn chose Ms. Ericia Colbert to share in this special recognition.
Also recognized was Gracelyn Cowart, a 7th grade student at Wilkinson County Middle School, for her success in the Young Georgia Authors Competition led by Oconee RESA, where she was named a winner.
In addition, Hayden Collins, a junior at Wilkinson County High School and member of the boys basketball team, was recognized for being selected to the All-State Single A Division II Basketball Team by the Georgia Basketball Coaches Association and the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association.
These recognitions highlight the many ways Wilkinson County students continue to excel in academics, the arts, and athletics. Wilkinson County Schools is proud to celebrate these students and the example they set for their peers and for the entire Warrior community.
Congratulations to Ke’Shawn, Gracelyn, and Hayden on these outstanding accomplishments. Your hard work, commitment, and representation of Warrior Nation continue to make Wilkinson County proud.
