Sometimes students notice warning signs before adults do. Knowing what to look for can make a difference.
A concerning social media post. A threat. Bullying or harassment. Someone talking about hurting themselves or someone else. Or simply a situation that doesnβt feel right.
Through Sandy Hook Promiseβs Say Something program, students learn three important steps: recognize the warning signs, take them seriously, and say something.
Speaking up isnβt about getting someone in trouble. Itβs about getting someone help. π

As part of this initiative, we will soon launch the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System across our schools. This program empowers students to recognize warning signs, speak up, and help create a culture where everyone looks out for one another.
Parents and guardians, please be on the lookout for a letter coming home with your student that will provide additional information about the program. As we begin implementation, our counselors and school administrators will also provide students with guided lessons to help them understand how the system works and when and how to use it. We appreciate your continued support in keeping our schools safe, welcoming, and supportive for every student.
