Science in action! 🧪✨ Students in Mr. Stewart’s Chemistry classes created elephant toothpaste using yeast, water, hydrogen peroxide, and dish detergent—turning chemistry concepts into a fun, foamy experiment.

Using the learning target, “I can investigate to determine if a chemical change occurred based on observable evidence,” students followed step-by-step instructions and collaborated with partners to complete the assignment.

Our Ag course is excited to be back for the second semester! Students kicked things off with a hands-on lab titled “A Fresh Start.” In this activity, they used fresh ingredients—lemons and limes—combined with carbonation and fermentation to create their own version of the popular soft drink Sprite. The lab explored the reaction between yeast and carbon dioxide, while also highlighting farm-based ingredients such as sugar and corn syrup. This engaging experiment blended science, agriculture, and creativity to set the tone for a refreshing start to the semester!

We had the pleasure of welcoming Wilkinson County High School alumnus Mr. Reynolds back to campus to speak with a group of our students! 🎓📈 He shared his journey and introduced a student-led Focus Group centered on stocks and financial literacy. Students were highly engaged, asked thoughtful questions, and showed genuine interest throughout the session. Special thanks to Dr. Whirl and Dr. Rose-Brown for welcoming Mr. Reynolds back to our school and supporting this opportunity, and special thanks to Dr. Paulk for listening to students’ ideas, putting them into action, and taking the steps to make this possible. We look forward to having even more engaged students join—those willing to put in the hard work and dedication—so this group can continue to grow, strive, and win.

🌙🎄 December 18: Silent Night Today, students and staff embraced the cozy vibes by wearing their PJs and slippers! From comfy pajamas to fuzzy footwear, the school was full of relaxed holiday spirit as we wrapped up A December to Remember. ❤️💚✨ Perfect way to end the festivities! 🎅🎁

We wrapped up the first half of the year with our STREAM Winter Celebration, welcoming students and families for a fun and meaningful afternoon of learning, creativity, and connection. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this event a success.

Reminder for tonight, Warrior families! The Wilco STREAM I & II Winter Celebration for after-school students and their families will be held from 4:30–6:00 PM in the Primary/Elementary Lunchroom.

🎄❤️ Day 13: Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas! Yesterday, students and staff spread holiday cheer by wearing their favorite holiday shirts! From classic Christmas designs to fun festive prints, the spirit of the season was on full display throughout the school. ✨💚 December fun continues!

✨🎄 Day 11: Deck the Halls! Yesterday, our students and staff went all out by wearing their best holiday accessories, jewelry, lights, and festive add-ons! The school sparkled with Christmas cheer as everyone showed off their creative holiday flair. ❤️💚✨ On to Day 12!

Students in Mr. Knight's Engineering & Technology classes are learning to use Autodesk Fusion 360 on computers to create 3D models and print them with a 3D printer. Safety is always first in the lab. After that, with a little (or a lot) of time, the objects will emerge from the machine exactly like the model. In this class, imagination goes in… and awesome 3D creations come out!

What an absolutely amazing night at our Football Banquet! 🏈✨ Tonight, we came together to celebrate our athletes, coaches, and supporters who made this season unforgettable. The growth, dedication, and heart our players showed—on and off the field—truly represent what it means to be a Warrior. Thank you to our families, staff, and community for pouring into our students all season long. And a special thank-you to our coaching staff for their leadership, guidance, and commitment to excellence.
