In Ms. Johnson’s class, students took part in a fun and engaging Vocabulary Speed Dating activity to kick off their study of Medieval Europe! 🏰
Students rotated around the room to “meet” and define new vocabulary words, discuss meanings, and connect them to topics like knights, castles, and life during the Middle Ages. This interactive lesson helped strengthen their reading comprehension, critical thinking, and communication skills—all while having a great time learning together! 💬

We wrapped up Red Ribbon Week with Costume Day, and our Warriors had a blast showing off fun, creative, and spooky-season-approved looks! 👻✨ From superheroes and storybook favorites to clever characters, the halls were full of imagination and excitement.
Today’s theme reminded us that while costumes are fun to try on for a day, our true strength comes from being ourselves, making positive choices, and staying drug free — every day. 💙💛

Fall Festival 2025
Today we celebrated our annual Fall Festival, and it was a huge success! Students, staff, and families came together to enjoy games, food, music, and community fun. The smiles, laughter, and school spirit made the day truly special.

Mrs. Taylor’s Gifted students explored real-world engineering principles this week, studying how tension and compression work together to create strong bridges. After learning the science behind structural design, students applied their knowledge by constructing popsicle-stick bridges.
Their bridge needed to support 50 lbs and not only did it meet the requirement, it exceeded it, successfully holding 69 lbs before the test was concluded. Outstanding work, future engineers! 🏗️✨

🔄 Day 4: Student/Staff Switch Day! 🔄
Today for Red Ribbon Week, our Warriors had some fun switching roles! Students came dressed like teachers and staff and our staff showed off their best student looks. From hallway passes and backpacks to ties and clipboards, the creativity did not disappoint! 💙💛
This theme reminded us that while we may play different roles in our school community, we are all working together to make positive choices, support one another, and stay on the right path.

💼 Day 3: Dress for Success! 💼
Yesterday for Red Ribbon Week, our Warriors showed up polished, confident, and ready for the future! Students and staff dressed in their best professional attire to remind everyone that when we stay drug free, we are prepared to look the part, think sharp, and chase success with purpose. 🌟
From suits and ties to blazers and dresses, our halls were filled with excellence and ambition proving that confidence and smart choices never go out of style.

WCHS was briefly placed on lockdown this morning after a staff member’s safety badge was accidentally activated. There was NO threat or incident. Students and staff are safe, and normal operations have resumed.

We continued Red Ribbon Week with a cowboy twist! Students and staff dressed as cowboys and cowgirls to show that staying drug free keeps us on the trail to success. 💙💛
From boots to hats, everyone brought their best Western spirit proving that when we make smart choices and stay focused on our goals, the path ahead is wide open! 🌟

Here are the details about our spirit week. Our school counselors are sharing information about the buildings, as well as other ways to celebrate, including poster and essay contests, assemblies, and more!
